Dignity Health , the nation’s fifth largest healthcare system, is currently looking for an Ambulatory Integration Developer to join their IT team. The Ambulatory Integration Developer works with the business analysts and business stakeholders of the EHR Alliance Ambulatory program in order to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of clinical Interface technical solutions. The Ambulatory Integration Developer will analyze, design, and validate integration requirements prepared by Business Analysts for development and changes to business processes, policies, and information systems integration. The Integration Developer validates business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and implements solutions that enable the organization to achieve its integrations goals.
The Integration Developer will directly interface with internal and external LIS Information Technology departments and vendors, Dignity Health customers and other stakeholders required to drive the implementation.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience required.
2 years of IT experience in a hospital or medical related industry
2 years of experience in design and implementation of HL7 clinical interface i.e. Orders and Results for Lab, Radiology and Transcription services. MS4, IDX GE Centricity, Allscripts and NextGen AEMR
Experience with complete HL7 and batch and FTP uploads data formatting is strongly desired
Deep foundational technical knowledge of HL7 coding technology and supporting software tools, and their impact on integration development and support transition
Extensive working knowledge of the following:
AEMR’s such as Allscripts, NextGen and practice management systems
Orders, registration, and charges
Reference LABS both internal and external to Dignity Health
Strong technical problem solving skills, technical writing, and documentation.
Strong practical knowledge and understanding of integration methodologies
Possess a strong ability to document system/technical portion of assigned deliverables, including the version description and release notes
Ability to drive results in complex, matrixes, and partially outsourced environments; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Knowledge of healthcare security, privacy and compliance regulations and requirements (Desired)
Ability to understand IT projects and concepts as they relate to high-level business objectives, and ability to present those concepts to both IT and non-IT audiences in a concise and easily understandable manner.
Strong knowledge of MS programs e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and VISIO
