Functioning within the framework for shared governance, the Nursing Director has accountability for managing resources (human, material and financial) to ensure quality, cost-effective delivery of culturally competent patient services for specific patient populations, in one or more units.
Is recognized as a professional role model and
promotes a professional environment that supports continuous learning, employee and patient satisfaction. This is accomplished by direct action, delegation, coaching and support of unit-based shared governance councils.
Supports, assists, and reports to the Sr. Nursing Director.
Master's degree in Nursing is required.
Licensure as a registered nurse in the
District of Columbia
