This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. They are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.
Retired military are usually ineligible for membership in the AF Reserves.
Retired military that have active AF Reserve assignments may apply provided they show assignment (position & unit) on their application.
Military service member's "Statement of Service" will be accepted up to 120 days prior to separation date IF a terminal leave form or DD214 cannot be provided.
The "Statement of Service" must be signed by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer, or commander of your unit or higher headquarters and must indicate when your terminal leave will begin, your rank, dates of active duty service, the Type of Discharge and Character of Service (i.e. honorable).

Directs enlisted force management of Cyber responsible for the command and control of cyberspace forces conducting Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO), Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and DoD Global Information Grid Operations (DGO) in support of Air Force and Joint objectives.
Serves as principle advisor to the RAU Commander on force readiness, career development, and morale and welfare issues.
Provides oversight of training and operations to ensure the readiness of assigned personnel.
Performs work for the planning and management of the administrative budget and related financial documents.
Works closely with supervisors and program managers regarding the utilization of resources required to meet mission objectives.
Represents CAU with a variety of command, installation and functional area organizations
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective operational working relationships with the National Security Agency (NSA), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Combatant Commands, USCYBERCOM, Air Force Major Commands, Numbered Air Forces, Wings, Groups, Squadrons, as well as key members of the law enforcement community.
Manages plans, organizes, controls, and directs the enlisted professional development activities of the CAU to ensure optimum use of resources.
Directs the overall management of the CAUs Enlisted Professional Development program.
Performs personnel supervisory/management responsibilities. Supervises one GS-07 ART Enlisted employee.
Counsels employee(s), takes or recommends disciplinary actions, recommends awards, sets standards, evaluates performance, approves leave, signs time and attendance records, prepares or revises position descriptions, and resolved grievances or refers to higher authority along with recommendations for resolution.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is an ART enlisted position.
The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements.
Work schedule will be aligned to allow the incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA).
The incumbents regular assignments are primarily ART duties; however, the incumbent may also be assigned non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
The employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station; the employee must be willing/able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
The employee might be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include weekends, and/or holidays, and any hours of the day or night. The duties of this position require shift work (such as day, swing, and midnight).
May be subject to on-call or recall due to contingencies or emergencies.
The employee will provide IT and Comm support and training to unit personnel on scheduled Unit Training Assemblies (UTAs) and annual tours (AT).
This position is designated as a mobility position.
The incumbent must be willing to move/transfer to another unit/location on a lateral or promotion basis as directed by HQ AFRC.
Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal of this position.
The incumbent may also be required to meet requirements of certification programs such as Combat Mission Ready (CMR) with medical requirements, Stan/Eval, or the Quality Assurrance Program (QAP).
This position has been identified as a drug testing designated position.
The incumbent of this position may be selected for random drug testing, and be subject to reasonable suspicion testing and safety mishap or accident testing.
