The Defense Personnel Services Business Unit has approximately 2000 employees and operates at hundreds of locations across the United States and overseas in Korea, Japan, Italy, and Germany. We provide personnel services to military personnel, military families, and civilians working for the military. Our capabilities address a wide range of managed services, as well as the complete military lifecycle which includes recruitment, to active duty through retirement.
This is not an active open position. Serco Inc. is using this posting for the purpose of building a pipeline of interested candidates for future anticipated positions with our company.
The Project Manager for the US Army Reserve Command (USARC) Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) Program will be responsible for the oversight of contract operations at 17 locations where services will be provided to survivors of deceased Service Members. The SOS program will provide short term and long-term case management; benefits counseling; financial planning information; legal assistance referrals; personalized and integrated web-based support; one-stop service provider; service delivery based on specific individual needs; support as long as the Family member wants/needs support.
Required Skills and Experience:
-Must have a secret security clearance
-Must possess a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in the behavioral sciences (i.e., social work, psychology, counseling, sociology) from an accredited college
-Must possess two years of experience supervising employees delivering direct social services (such as Family Advocacy, case management and financial counseling to military families)
-Must be able to work independently to oversee and capture requirements of SOS Support Coordinators and SOS Financial Counselors in the field.
-Must have excellent writing and speaking skills.
-Must be familiar with and be able to operate Windows programs including Word, Power Point and Excel.
