This position is responsible for analysis, development, testing, problem resolution, documentation, and maintenance efforts with DMV’s Traffic and Criminal Software (TraCS) program. TraCS is an automated data collection tool used by law enforcement to collect citation, crash, and other information that is transmitted electronically to DMV. This position serves on teams made up of business area experts, program customers and IT staff for the purpose of developing new systems and maintaining existing vehicle and driver related systems.
In addition, this position is responsible for providing training on using DMV's computer systems to users. This position researches, develops and presents training materials to others and provides support and assistance on using computer systems.
This position acts as a liaison between the system users (such as law enforcement agencies), external partners (such as Circuit Courts, District Attorney’s, Office of Justice Assistance, and Municipal Courts), and internal DOT staff (such as other Citations and Withdrawals section staff and Bureau of Information Technology Services IT programmers).
