Job Description –Compensation Program Manager
Americas HR Global Operations is seeking a Compensation Program Manager to join the Americas Compensation team. This position will focus on Sales Compensation and Focal Point Review program implementation. The person will participate in the design, development and implementation of HP compensation programs. Areas of focus will include benchmarking, market analysis, structure development, job architecture, and administration.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Provide technical and consultative services focused on the development, implementation and administration of HP compensation policies and programs. Areas of focus include benchmarking, market analysis, structure development and job architecture
Benchmark compensation programs relative to market and peer group companies. Develop and/or participate in surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine HP’s competitive position.
Research and analyze market data and recommend appropriate market rates, structure movement, salary increase budgets & target total cash. Perform complex employee and financial data modeling.
Prepare detailed management reports for presentation to senior managers. Develop compensation-related communication materials including presentations, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Maintain a thorough understanding of compensation practices, labor legislation for a country or subset of countries in the Americas region.
Act as a consultant to Country HR/HR Generalists on compensation matters. Proactively keep them informed of compensation-related topics.
Provide analytical support for complex projects using research and data analysis skills. May engage in other major strategic projects.
Support annual Focal Point Review process.
− Typically a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 7-10+ years of related professional experience
− Eligible candidates shall possess detailed knowledge in the field of compensation as well as general business and industry knowledge
− Experience with job evaluation, benchmarking, market pricing, structure development and pay administration
− Experience with financial modeling, costing models and salary increase models
− Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access and PeopleSoft
− Excellent organizational skills required, to prioritize work demands and deliverables
− Ability to deal with complex problems and present solutions in a clear, concise manner
− Ability to project a consistent and positive customer service focus to all levels of employees and managers
