The Manager Technology will ensure delivery of information systems and/or technology services that may include networks, databases, help desk, etc. Level commensurate with experience. Manage daily test activities of all system changes. Management and oversight of test team. Demonstrates strong expertise in relevant tools and technical skills. Responsible for managing testing services including but not limited to:

System Testing, Test Automation using IBM RFT, Defect Management using IBM ClearQuest, and Test Planning using MS Project.

Interfaces with key IT solution vendors; develops strategies and facilitates performance measurement plans to optimize vendor performance and outcomes.

Responsible for development of Technology Plan and Forecast for an Enterprise application.

Enterprise-wide tool, infrastructure, or a center or domain that is equivalent in scope and complexity.

Ensures disaster recovery and business continuity plan are implemented, monitored and updated on a recurring basis; collaborates with business and Technology throughout the development, update, and testing of the business continuity plan.

Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables of the SQA (Software Quality Assurance) team.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

This position may work for Indianapolis, IN or Roanoke, VA offices.

Job Qualifications

Requires BS/BA in Computer Science or related field; 5 to 7 years of leadership and/or management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience, expertise and/or specific certification may be required.

Expertise in relevant tools and technical skills required.

Ability to manage across geographically diverse associates and vendor partners.

Good understanding of business operations and health insurance industry experience preferred.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.

Strong tactical planning, organizational, analytical and PC skills required.

Strong project management skills.
