The Product Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy. This position will serve as the Product Leader for one of our Landing Gear and Actuation businesses.
Lead the Product Management team to meet the business metrics and execution of program requirements
Provide overall leadership to Product Management team, to include professional development, mentorship, and goals and objectives
Deliver business performance, operationally and financially, in accordance with business plan
Be responsible for overall profitability of business and programs
Win new business at suitable margins, including preparation and approvals as appropriate
Assign project-estimating duties within the department to develop labor costs for projects in a timely manner
Have team focus on high-risk areas, deliver performance and ensure adequate mitigation plans are in place.
Ensure written proposal process captures new business, bid and win bids
Drive interaction and performance across broader matrix team to deliver operation and business metrics, to include Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Quality
Work with Sourcing to obtain firm bids from contractors and suppliers as needed on labor quotations
Work with Sales team to promote business growth in line with financial targets, including preparation and approval of bids
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience
Minimum of 1 year of Estimating experience
Willingness and ability to travel 10% of the time

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to help build effective processes

Six Sigma training is preferred (GE Employees only)
Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses
