you will write design specifications, business requirements documents, participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Software Development Life Cycle Methodology. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development, and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop/enhance software application modules and reporting. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications and identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues.
Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications
Examine applications to ensure adherence to Application Engineering guidelines, processes, and procedures
Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies
Test, modify, and implement application code
Evaluate service level issues to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies
Engage third party suppliers on applications support issues
Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents programming to satisfy business requirements.
Minimum 3 years Microsoft SQL Server Experience.
Understanding of SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 as well as Oracle PL/SQL 9/10 and TOAD.
Database Design, SQL and T-SQL Development.
Experience in DTS and SSIS, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), BI and Cognos.
Performance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL/SQL code.
Understanding of database security - Users, Roles, Privileges, Grants etc.
Expert level knowledge of MS Access, MS Word and MS Excel.
Previous experience in the development of management reporting.
Support and maintenance of existing solutions.
Basic leadership skills and experience.
Proven systems analysis and problem solving capabilities.
Highly motivated with ability to work independently as well as a strong team player and works with a strong sense of urgency.
Experience completing complex projects and participating as a team member on projects of complex scope.
Ability to understand and develop technical direction and assess business requirements and develop reporting and database specifications.
Ability to step into a fast paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritization & time management are daily exercises.
Preferred Job Requirements:
3+ years financial management and/or banking experience.
Knowledge of banking and loan products.
Knowledge of Chase common systems.
