Vice President Mercy Health System Corporate Marketing & Communications The Vice President, Marketing Communications for Mercy Health System provides executive leadership and management for this regional healthcare system in the development of Strategic Marketing & Business Plans involving branding, public relations, advertising, marketing, community outreach, market research management, website design, and internal communications. The VP MarCom will be instrumental in the development of digital strategy and implementation including Social Media and Mobile Channels, Community Outreach, and MHS’s customer relationship management and physician relationship management systems. Major responsibilities include: • Direct management of system MarCom staff, vendors and MarCom budget • Collaboration with system and operating unit leadership on development of MarCom strategies, plans, and initiatives at the system and operating unit levels • System internal communications strategy to launch one vision system-wide • Project Management for intranet redesign • Providing strategy and coaching to leadership on impactful and/or crisis internal communications; acts as public relations spokesperson and primary media contact • Overseeing development of system and operating unit marketing campaigns; brand research projects and analysis • Managing web advertising to increase traffic flow; web re-design & mobile applications; social media development • Promotional and community outreach planning • Developing metrics/ROI for system-wide campaigns and creates ROI dashboards for key service lines • Supporting physician liaison strategic initiatives, communications materials and tracking analysis Experience, Education and other Requirements: • 10+ years professional experience in cross discipline marketing communications (PR, marketing, advertising, communications, web) with a Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, or related field required • Masters degree and Healthcare marketing experience preferred. • Ability to multi-task, excellent project management, leadership skills, written and oral communication skills also required. • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and familiarity with graphic design and design agencies. • Ability to articulate and demonstrate in their behavior a commitment to the mission and values of Mercy Health System and Catholic Health East. • Possesses willingness to support ministry goals and ability to gain support of others. • Ability to address and resolve differences. • Skilled communicator and team player • Effective listener; articulate presenter and interpreter. • Ability to translate broad vision and strategies into specific objectives.
