This position reports to a District Sales Manager (DSM) and the primary role of the Merchandiser is to keep Company product rotated and aligned on customer shelves (grocery stores, convenience stores, mass merchants, dollar stores, and restaurants) and moving product from the customer storeroom to customer shelves. ** Working Schedule: 16 hours per week. Wednesday & Sunday. **
PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Merchandise store shelves and maintain store shelves to standards of Hostess Brands and customer
Check shelves and backrooms for overstock, proper product rotation, and dates
Remove all unsaleable merchandise from the retailer's selling area
Maintain regular contact with existing customers to field problems, concerns, and complaints resolving customer-related issues
Identify incremental sales opportunities for Route Sales Representative (RSR) to pursue
Provide feedback on competitor activities
Keep informed of new products and other general information
Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements, proactively address any unsafe conditions observed
Documentation of a high school diploma or completed GED
21 years or older
Valid drivers license, auto insurance, and personal car
Pass the drug test
Pass the background check
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
Travel 25-50 %
Grocery or retail experience
Direct Store Delivery (DSD) experience
