Twitter is looking for great systems engineers to join our data services team. You should love finding simple solutions to big problems, and care about not only the technical and algorithmic aspects of large databases, but also the way they enable other teams to do their jobs. You should have previous experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, or databases.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement scalable storage and serving infrastructure
Build storage systems, libraries, and frameworks that let Twitter grow as a business
Code using primarily Java/Scala and C/C++
Work in a team-oriented environment
Requirements
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Deep knowledge of a compiled language
Experience or interest in distributed network systems
Good understanding of web technologies, and familiarity with Unix/Linux
Previous success in a performance-critical environment is a plus
