In this newly created role of Digital Marketing Specialist you will report directly to the Director of Marketing you will take the lead on developing and executing the digital strategies. You will also play a critical role in integrating new digital platforms. The National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC) is financially strong and has enjoyed robust growth to date without a significant investment in marketing; however, NIC is now growing its marketing department to enhance its brand, leverage it across our business units and capitalize on the opportunities ahead of us. NIC is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is focused on facilitating informed investment decisions that create value and further the quality of seniors housing and care. Since 1991, NIC has been the leading source of deal making events, research, data, and analysis for lenders, investors, providers, developers, and others interested in meeting the housing and care needs of Americas seniors. One of NICs major initiatives to further its mission is the NIC MAP® Data and Analysis Service. NIC MAP® is a powerful tool that provides local market intelligence about the performance of seniors housing and care properties in Americas top 100 metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs). With the NIC MAP® Data and Analysis Service, subscribers can tap into time series data for occupancy rates, asking rents, pricing, supply, demographics, market share and more. Every property type, care segment and campus type is covered, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing care, and continuing care retirement communities. Responsibilities: As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will: Maintain a leading-edge understanding of web site management, information architecture, user experience, metrics, and web technologies best practices. You will evaluate web site performance reports, assess results, and recommend improvements and performance optimization strategies. Help develop and implement the digital components of NICs integrated marketing solutions in support of business goals. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, goals, tactics, and deliverables. You will develop and communicate project expectations to those stakeholders. Manage and execute digital campaign set-up, creative approval processes and day-to-day management of campaigns geared toward direct revenue, lead generation, and customer acquisition. Provide reports, including ongoing performance, post analysis, and recommendations for future modifications. Help to conceptualize and execute the companys social media strategy, constantly evaluating new technologies and vendors that drive customer engagement. Review the viability of blogging, discussion forums, podcasts, and other engagement strategies. Manage email campaigns in support of overall constituent engagement strategies, by: Tracking campaign progress and reporting on key metrics to support continuous improvement in engagement and ROI; Designing and coding new email stationeries/templates and working on a variety of small web design-related projects, as needed. Migrate and keep current for the digital environment existing promotional materials. These materials include, but are not limited to, brochures, data sheets, testimonials, case studies, press releases, advertisements, web content, and sales support and customer training materials. Proactively manage a wide range of marketing collateral and sales support projects from concept to delivery. Assist in the creation of a master project schedule and implement a tracking system. Leverage internal and third party experts such as IT, editorial, and design. Your work is vital to supporting NICs overall goals related to online marketing, engagement, and revenue generation. Because youll be part of a marketing team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across all of our business units to ensure full integration of messaging into campaigns, collateral and advertising materials, web and intranet venues, events, and sales awareness programs. Requirements for the Digital Marketing Specialist: 3 plus years of digital marketing experience, with proven success in digital/online marketing. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field with an emphasis on the digital environment. Experience in creating and executing successful online campaigns. Knowledge of CRM programs and content management systems. Strong professional knowledge of social and digital media. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Knowledge, understanding and integration experience of varied industry tools, including HTML, Marketing Software (i.e. Marketo, Silverpop), Cvent, SalesForce, and eCommerce Platforms. Please note: This position also requires the ability to travel overnight, up to 15% of the time, in support of marketing events, committee meetings, and other events.
