I. Position Summary:
Responsible for accurately performing tasks and activities related to decontamination, preparation and packaging, storage, inventory control, sterilization of instruments, trays, equipment, and supplies. Fills requests for supplies and equipment, does associated recording, charging, and computer entry correctly. Performs daily maintenance and housekeeping duties as required. These task/functions/duties/responsibilities are performed to department policies and procedures. Performance of duties must sincerely and positively reflect consideration and concern whenever interacting with members of the medical staff and employees. Other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor.

II. Position Requirements
Central Service certification required.
One to three years experience as an Instrument Room or Operating Room Technician preferred.
Basic to advanced knowledge in the role of instrumentation as well as decontamination and sterilization of instruments. Demonstrates good organizational skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
