We are looking for a full-time Software Engineer with significant web development experience. We are executing an ambitious roadmap of exciting product developments, and are seeking someone with entrepreneurial enthusiasm, a creative mind, and a desire to build something innovative. You will use technology to bring discovery to the shopping experience online using collaborative filtering and semantic and recommendation algorithms. You will be responsible for design, development and testing in Python.
Responsibilities
Our technology stack is comprised of MySQL, Python, Django, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, AWS, Solr, Git, Pivotal Tracker, etc. We are a small startup team and we work very collaboratively. We follow agile development practices and believe in frequent releases and iterations. Our technology team consists of people from Google and Microsoft. Our office space is a beautiful loft on Bond St in Noho.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of agile web development experience
Significant experience in Django, Python, PHP, JSP or RoR
Extensive object-oriented experience
Skills
Django and/ or Python experience
Database design and optimization with MySQL
CSS, Javascript, HTML
Unit testing
Good communication skills
Track record of delivering high quality software on time
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
