Performs general warehouse functions involved with shipping and receiving, delivery of raw materials and finished goods, which includes loading and unloading trucks, material movement transactions in SAP, moving semi-trailers using company shag truck and unloading rail cars into the silos. Performs all receiving and/or shipping clerical activities when assigned and cycle counts of raw material and expense items. May be required to work a minimum of every 3
rd
weekend.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
1. Works with management to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
2. Drive company truck, including semi and trailer between all plant buildings and warehouse.
3. Load and unload materials, delivering them by forklift, hand truck or other means to the proper department.
4. Unload resin from railcars following proper procedures.
5. Keep and accurate account of all goods taken from warehouse stock.
6. Assist in loading of finished goods and unloading received material for placement in designated area.
7. Communicate and maintain a favorable relationship with fellow workers in own and other departments, Team Leaders, vendors and freight companies, etc.
8. Responsible for accuracy of inventory transactions where directly involved in material movements and recording thereof.
9. Work with minimal supervision and perform duties in a prompt and professional manner, assuring on-time deliveries of all materials.
10. Work with computer systems.
11. Knowledgeable in allocation process.
12. Train any new Associates on their respective shift.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader and required to support the needs of the business.
2. Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times.
