GENERAL SUMMARY Responsible for fulfilling the company&rsquos global requirements for information and systems by completing project assignments to design configure and maintain SAP Finance (FI and CO) and related SAP software modules including EDI data exchanges Also responsible for communicating ideas plans and progress and for improving their own professional skills Assists with the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP program Customizes and configures software to allow the integration of SAP functional modules and nonSAP applications Tests ERP configuration to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs Familiar with a variety of the SAP Systems concepts practices and procedures Utilizes extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Performs a variety of tasks including mentoring others A wide degree of creativity is expected ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Works with minimal supervision from the Manager IT SAP 2 Proactively participates in identifying information systems problems and defining solutions for management approval 3 Communicates with managers and their staffs to negotiate general approaches and program requirements in developing system specifications 4 Prepares work effort estimates for business requests 5 Designs the system by preparing the flow diagrams input formats file layouts calculations and output formats for consensus agreement with users 6 Structures writes configures tests debugs documents and implements new computer programs utilizing departmental programming standards and procedures 7 Modifies tests debugs documents and installs previously developed Client systems and purchased software 8 Keeps the manager aware of current project status using standard internal reporting methods 9 Is well versed on the complexity of communications and data base systems when designing and changing programs which affect these critical components 10 Works closely with user representatives and other systems staff as part of a project team 11 Continually seeks selfeducation in computer system and programming methods and utilizes books manuals and resource aids to their fullest potential 12 Maintains technical expertise in area of responsibility 13 Develops and maintains relevant system and process documentation for existing and proposed processes 14 Coordinates work with legacy systems personnel for interfaces andor data conversions 15 Leads and mentors others in their field of knowledge REQUIRED EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE 1 Bachelors Degree in an IT related discipline Typically has more than 8 years of relevant SAP FICO experience in an applications development environment 2 Strong understanding of the SAP software toolset 3 Ability to mentorguide other resources and drive project success 4 Ability to lead moderate to complex projects throughout project lifecycle 5 Indepth experience in configuration coding of the FI CO and related SAP functional modules integration 6 Indepth understanding of finance business processes systems functional analysis software deployment systems development lifecycle and problem solving 7 Hands on configuration design testing and coordination experience within various FI sub areas in SAP 8 Experience in solution design for complex requirementsissues and implementation of the solution in the system 9 Working knowledge of various financial operations including Accounts Payable Accounts Receivables General Ledger Asset Accounting and periodic closing 10 Candidate must be able to identify and guide other resources on dependencies among objects in FICO and other SAP modules 11 Good understandingworking knowledge of product costing and other areas in CO including COPA overhead management cost centerprofit center accounting 12 Working knowledge of and experience working with the finance functional processes Financial business experience CPA or financial certifications preferred 13 International project and large project experience is desired 14 Prior lead experience on a multinational project preferred REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1 Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask effectively self motivated and works without direct supervision 2 Able to use knowledge and experience to lead and mentor others within the same SAP disciplines 3 Excellent communications skills required to interact with both IT resources as well as business users The ability to give clear verbal and written information geared to specific audiences 4 Will act as a liaison between the business and IT to define design and implement SAP solutions 5 Must have the ability to absorb information quickly and make decisions as to how to proceed with each issue based on its own merit 6 Must have good analytical and problem solving abilities 7 Demonstrated work estimating skills 8 Demonstrated design and configuration proficiency in SAP FI with knowledge of Vendor Customer GL Master data and transactional dataprocesses 9 Demonstrated design and configuration proficiency in various FI processes in a multinational multicurrency environment 10 Excellent understanding of CO processes and its integration with various FI sub modules and other SAP modules including MM PP and SD 11 Must be able to lead design develop and coordinate work that requires crossfunctional (within and outside SAP) developmentdesign consideration 12 Knowledge of and experience with SAP IDOC structures ABAP fundamentals and SAP files structures 13 Experience leading small to large teams on moderate to complex projects in all phases of SAP implementationsupport project required 14 Automotive experience preferred 15 Experience with the Seeberger EDI translator is preferred 16 Experience with SAP ECC 50 or 60 preferred 17 Experience using sending data to or reporting from the SAP BIW is preferred 18 Experience with a Global SAP System utilizing Unicode 19 Experience leading working sessions with a varied IT and business audience such as fitgaps sessions REQUIRED DECISIONMAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT 1 Decisions made will generally have significant impact on system availability and business processes Decisions should be reviewed with supervision before final action is taken 2 May at times due to the nature of the duties performed come in contact with confidential information Is responsible for guarding against the disclosure of such information to unauthorized personnel 3 Must reflect a courteous and professional attitude and be able to communicate with all levels of the company personnel as well as Client customers and vendors REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 1 This position will report to the Manager IT SAP Finance WORKING CONDITIONS 1 Travel is expected to average 25 to 50 annually Some travel will be international 2 4045 hours of professional work expected each week with working hours between 730 AM and 530 PM Maybe required to work off shift hours depending upon the project needs 3 This position will be based onsite at the Auburn Indiana Data Center
