Job Summary

The Quality assurance analyst is responsible for evaluating and testing software applications used within EDMC. This includes reviewing software modifications and enhancements and conducting testing for issues, enhancements and releases. It also includes performing business analysis, gathering user specifications and participating in project teams, and some project management. Incumbent must assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Key Job Elements

Provide end-to-end testing of EDMC Software applications. Write test plans, test cases and test scripts for tracking defects and fixes.

Responsible for conducting Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT testing.

Responsible for the automation of test plans, test cases and test scripts within automated testing tools.

Test and certifies software defect fixes and new functionality and reviews test summary reports.

Assist Product Support with analysis and verification of software defects reported to determine validity and clarification

Create and maintains quality system documents and records, e.g. flowcharts, procedures, forms, templates, spreadsheets, presentations.

Gather and analyze project metrics in support of business cases, planned projects, and requirements and communicates findings to Project Management.

Work with co-workers to determine software specifications and defects.

Conduct a Business analysis of information requirements for defects and enhancements and work with others on team to determine software specifications and defects.

Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area

2-5 years of Quality Assurance experience

Understand source code for applications written in C, Java, .Net, Unix, and SQL

Understand flowcharts, UML, XML, DataFlow, and other Software Engineering diagrams

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Good interpersonal skills

Good organizational skills

Good customer service skills

Ability to design and develop Ad-Hoc Reports

Ability to hand multiple tasks and prioritize when needed

Ability to work well in a team environment
