The Global Risk Core Operations Middle Office (GRCOMO) supports the credit approval and decision making processes for Credit Risk Management. GRCRMO is actively involved in the analysis of credit data and risk metrics. And identifying trends and issues which may impact the bank's ability to manage credit risk globally.
The purpose of the Global Risk Core Operations Middle Office is to establish and maintain a common approach to controls and operational workflows across the risk management infrastructure in support of the Investment Bank. The Global Risk Core Operations Middle Office provides operational support for Credit Risk Management which includes the following functions: rules based funds processing, annual reviews, NAV gathering and exceptions monitoring. Annual review support and client reference data maintenance are performed for asset managers, hedge funds, financial institutions, governments and corporate clients. Additionally the group performs facility management for those entities by creating, amending and cancelling credit facilities. As well as generating various credit reports on a periodic basis.
A team member in the Global Risk Core Operations Middle Office is expected to deliver on the specific tasks and requirements:
Description of Responsibilities
Liaise with CRMO onshore groups in EMEA/NA/Asia regions
Achieving the daily/weekly and monthly volume targets
Ensuring accuracy on performing BAU related activities / tasks and non disclosure of client information by preserving client confidentiality
Researching on any queries/ requests sent by the Business Partners/Counterparts and replying to the same within minimum response time
Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with the Business partners/Clients as well as the people in the support groups
Active participation in process improvements and automation/enhancements to current activities / tasks
Ensure Quality Control standards that have been set for all processes that are carried out in the team
Manage the workflow of tasks / activities, queries, issues and requests made to the respective team (using a call-tracking database, etc)
Produce monthly metrics on these requests
Participate in UAT (user acceptance testing) on enhancements and changes to CRMO systems; including analyzing the impact of enhancements on CRMO reporting
Maintain essential business, client and corporate data in CRMO systems to facilitate accurate reporting
Other duties as assigned
Bachelors degree in Commerce / Science
Minimum of 0-24 months of work experience, preferably in financial services industry
Basic knowledge of investment banking products will be an added advantage
Technical Skill Sets
Working experience on MS package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook)
Good organizational skills with ability to consolidate and analyze data received from multiple reports
Advanced Excel skills (i.e. pivots, Vlookups, charts, macros, etc.) and MS PowerPoint preferred
