Job Title: Test Lab Validation Manager

Job Description :
Organize, manage and lead validation & testing section team activities towards achieving JNA Technical Center S/Q/D/C/HR/E targets. S/Safety – Q/Quality – D/Deliveries (timing) – C/Costs – HR/Human Resources – E/Environment

Responsibilities :
  • Manage and direct validation & testing development section activities/procedures
  • Assign section priorities and resources to programs/projects to ensure objectives are met
  • Manage quality, health, safety, and environmental conformance to JTEKT policies
  • Define/control lab budget, and approve section spending/expenses
  • Control and approve all documents released in the section (requests/specifications/reports)
  • Develop and implement lab capability & competency improvement plan to achieve customer expectations
  • Support launch of new products into production
  • Work daily overtime and Saturdays and/or Sundays when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Establish objectives and goals for the section across all NA locations
  • Conduct section team members performance appraisals against objectives
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with JNA policies and applicable laws
  • Ensure accurate reporting to upper management

  • Excellent presentation/training skills
  • Professional/Technical Skills :
  • Working knowledge of computer aided tools , word-processing, and spread sheet programs
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Basic knowledge of applicable TS specific procedures and elements
  • Experience in test procedures and data generation, durability and strength tests, da ta analysis and report writing
  • Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems
  • Administrative/Managerial Skills :

  • Leadership/delegation skills
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline and 10 years testing field experience
  • 3-4 years of related automotive experience
Physical Demands:
  • Sit with intermittent walking
  • Communicate (hearing and speech) with individuals in person and by phone
  • Visually read reports, computer screen, etc.
  • Maintain a minimum of 8 hours worked/day, 5 days/week
