Amdocs is looking for an Oracle DBA, to provide overall leadership and expertise on how best to leverage the Oracle DBMS and related tools and utilities for our development, test and production needs. Some of the daily functions of this role include:
Installation and upgrade of Oracle 10g and 11g environments
Security and configuration management
Monitoring and tuning
Backup and recovery
Allocation of system storage and planning for future database storage requirements
Working closely with developers to design databases and creating primary database storage structures Requirements
5+ years experience in successful production support in a large complex environment
Strong knowledge of Oracle internals
5+ years experience installing, configuring and upgrading Oracle database, primarily in Unix environments (preferably RHEL)
5+ years experience with working on Oracle 10g Linux in very large OLTP environment.
Experience with Dataguard
Experience defining, developing and managing scripts that enhance performance and reliability of Oracle DBMS environments, including thorough knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL. Preferences
Experience with ASM
Experience with Oracle 11g
Experience in database migrations across mixed operating systems
Oracle DBA certification
