The Help Desk Support Employee provides support to end users on a variety of issues. The incumbent identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems, responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. May require some college coursework in information technology or a related area and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Essential Functions
• Ensure the day-to-day reliability, availability and acceptable performance of the local area network, and desktop/mobile environment by providing first level technical support of problem escalation and assignment
• Set up new users in the network, set up email accounts and provide specific application logins as appropriate
• Manage and support Active Directory, Windows OS and hardware/software installs throughout multiple geographic locations
Minimum Qualifications
• 1-3 years experience in a help desk environment
• Some college coursework in Information Technology or a related area preferred
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal oral, written and customer service skills
• Programming experience working with Microsoft technologies a plus
