Chatham University, a thriving dynamic institution with three colleges and one school -- Chatham College for Women and the co-educational College for Graduate Studies, College for Continuing and Professional Studies, and School of Sustainability and the Environment -- invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Graduate Psychology. This is a 12-month, renewable term position.
Key responsibilities will include teaching, advising, and conducting and supervising research in graduate-level counseling psychology programs (MA in Psychology, MS in Counseling Psychology, and PsyD in Counseling Psychology). Possible courses include statistics and research design (especially quantitative approaches), human development, vocational counseling, intellectual and personality assessment, and family and child therapy, depending upon applicant’s areas of interest and expertise. Interest in strength-based and positive approaches, as well as environmental and sustainability issues, is a plus. Strength in multicultural experiences and research is also preferred. A doctoral degree (licensed or license-eligible) in Psychology (Counseling or Clinical preferred), or a related degree, and teaching experience are strongly preferred.
