User Interface Artists will be responsible for working closely with the Art Director and game designers to create competitive, easy to use interfaces for our games. Other responsibilities include the development of marketing materials from concept to completion, web site design, and in-game graphics.
Responsibilities:o Designing and implementing the User Interface components:
o Front end menus and screens
o In-game HUD elements
o Motion graphics video integration
o Problem solving and bug fixing for both technical and design issues related to User Interface Design.
o Work closely with the design and technology teams to conceptualize and prototype interface functionality, look, and feel.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
o Ability to contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game art and production.
o Maintain effective and strong working relationships with managers and coworkers.
o Apply and maintain consistent art style throughout the interface.
o Research and reference compelling interfaces designs.
o A portfolio demonstrating outstanding Design, Illustration, and layout skills.
o Expertise in Photoshop.
o Successful background in innovative and intuitive user interface design
o A strong understanding of usability and information architecture.
o Ability to enjoy iterating and brainstorming within a team environment of various disciplines.
o Ability to adapt artistic style as needed by each project
o 2- 4 years experience in the gaming industry.
o Modeling and texture painting, UV mapping and animation skills a plus.
o Degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience as a Graphic Designer or User Interface Artist.
o Knowledge of game production pipeline.
