As an Fabricator Assembler, responsible for reporting to the production supervisor. Also, responsible for housekeeping around your area and achieving daily production goals.
Responsibilities: Striping of panels requiring the use of a heat gun, putty knife and razor scraper. The panel weighs about 5 lbs and is usually carried to a work table where the laminate covering(wall paper like material) is removed. Glue must be removed using lacquer thinner and alcohol.. Fillers and glue are used to repair cracks. The panel is carried to the sanding booth where the use of hand sander and/or air sander may be used. Once the lay up is completed, employee must bag the part and prepare the part for oven cure. This job is performed in a standing position for 8 hours. Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm and some Saturdays. Starting pay is $8.00 an hour.
