LinuxBash Austin is set to take place May 31st-June 1st.
Rackspace is looking for Linux Administrators and Engineers across all shifts in several of our locations. If you want to work on the next generation of cloud computing, collaborate with fellow Linux Ninjas and provide Fanatical Support to customers every day, then this is the job for you. We’re hiring individuals who have strong skills installing, configuring, updating and troubleshooting services like Apache, MySQL, FTP, SSH and DNS.
This job is all about identifying problems, fixing them and learning from them to become even more awesome than you already are.
We are headquartered in San Antonio, TX (The Castle), but also have offices in locations such as Austin, TX. We are open to remote/work from home Rackers given they meet the technical and professional requirements to work remote.
To succeed in this role, you must have a fundamental understanding of server hardware and software, as well as excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system. A qualified candidate will also have great problem-solving skills, a desire to take on responsibility and the written and verbal communication skills necessary to explain technical issues to nontechnical audiences.
Having Linux-related certifications is a big plus, like Red Hat, UCP, CompTIA and MySQL. Experience working in cloud environments is preferred. Ideally, candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience.
