The QG Control Systems Engineering team which caters directly to Quad/Graphics’ needs supports four different divisions and specializes in software development. Team products include machine control, print control, image rendering, camera systems, and data analysis.

About the position

A Software Engineer I is an entry-level position with a solid understanding of the SDLC and the fundamental principles of software development. As an entry-level position, a Software Engineer I will work closely with senior developers and project managers to design, develop, unit test, and support products across the team.

A Software Engineer I must be able to decompose software requirements into a functional design. This design must meet departmental SDLC best practices and will function as the blueprint for the Software Engineer I to implement the project. The Software Engineer I will be capable of unit testing his or her software before releasing his project to the Quality Assurance team.
