A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual with a recent PhD degree in biomedical sciences and solid expertise in molecular cell biology, biochemistry and/or cancer biology. The successful candidate will participate in projects focused on the phospholipid signaling and metabolism in breast cancer. Specific projects include elucidating the role of phospholipase D2 in breast cancer progression using animal models, screening new proteins regulating receptor trafficking in breast cancer cells, and understanding the role of lipid metabolism regulated by growth factors and nutrients in tumorigenesis.

Experience with animal handling and mouse genetics is a plus, but not essential. The successful applicant will be working in an active research department within the renowned Texas Medical Center ( TMC ) and gaining exposure to cutting-edge cell biology technologies.
