ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for managing the assignment, distribution, repair and training for gas detection equipment, dust sampling equipment, lamps, and hand-held radios in the underground department. Support and provide training for mine tours, and provide administrative support. Duties include: Arrange for service and repairs and monitor facility cleaning. Provide back-up coverage for Surface Technicians, Control System Analysts, Clerks, and Coal Plant Lab Technicians. Enter labor time confirmations and work order information into SAP system. Provide administration support for supervisors, superintendents, and technical service groups; including managing database systems, supply, creating and managing Maintenance KPI reports and assisting in creating presentations. Confirm that contractors have completed HS&E compliance training.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIREMENTS - A two or four year degree OR significant industrial/technical administrative support experience in a related field. A minimum of two years of operational mining experience and a strong knowledge of mining and safety. Familiarity with MSHA regulations and general operating procedures. Working rotating shifts, overtime and scheduled weekend shifts on short notice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be abillity to effectively interact at all levels of the organization, vendors, and public, in a team-oriented, rapid changing environment. Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel. Ability to understand and apply technical information from a variety of sources and demonstrate initiative in completing work on time and within budget. Proven good performance and attendance along with a strong individual safety recrod, and a valid driver's license is also required.

Preferred: Underground mining experience and SAP experience.
