Howdy, we have a couple of positions open at many different times. We need babysitting/nanny time for our 6 year old and 18 month old on a case by case basis and Personal Care Attendant (PCA) hours for our 5 year old on a regular basis. Most of the hours we need covered are evenings and weekends. We are willing to work with applicants to fill as little or as much as someone is willing to work.
The PCA position doesn't require any previous PCA or medical experience. We will train you in everything you need to know. The job requires feeding, changing, lifting, reading/playing, doing hair, bathing, and just being a loving presence for a special little girl. We would like someone who is attentive to detail since she cannot tell you when she is uncomfortable or in need of something. The PCA job pays $12.48 an hour.
Both jobs require the applicant to be fit and able to handle stairs, tripping hazards, and the ability to be up and down off the floor with the kids. Both jobs also require proof of citizenship. The PCA job requires that the applicant be able to lift our 5 year old quadriplegic and completely limp daughter from the floor to a chair or bed and vice verse (35 lbs.). Both jobs require being able to handle a large loving sneaky black lab who enjoys trying to get out the door at any given opportunity.
We are a fun little growing family (one on the way) with a very busy schedule. Coming to our home is more than a job. Our caregivers often become a part of our family. We like loving folks who know how to have fun.
