Summary:
Plans and directs the operating and maintenance activities of natural gas midstream facilities (pipelines, measurement, compression, dehydration and plants) within a major operating area to ensure safety, compliance, reliability, system integrity, cost control, timeliness and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safety of employees, public, facilities and property. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies. Manages and monitors region performance for safety, compliance, costs, reliability, system integrity and operating performance. Performs and manages all personnel activities. Ensures required tools, equipment, resources are available to perform O&M activities. Manages contractor activities involved in Operations & Maintenance (O&M). Coordinates construction activities with engineering group. Develops O&M and capital maintenance budgets. Interfaces with customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, the public and other internal departments. Supports marketing efforts in preparing customer proposals and subsequent contractual commitments. Recommends and makes facility and procedural/process enhancements and improvements as needed. Approves material acquisitions, capital expenditures, contracts and invoices. Notifies general office of operating difficulties and recommends remedial measures. Requirements Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university OR a combination of education and experience providing an equivalent level of knowledge and experience in related industry (e.g., at least 8 years of pipeline, gathering services or industry related experience).

Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in natural gas midstream operations, maintenance, and/or construction.

Able to communicate and demonstrate leadership skills across levels of management, with private business and with various government agencies. Able to demonstrate knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, state and local regulations. Able to communicate effectively with large groups of employees and in one on one employee relationships. Able to demonstrate knowledge in natural gas gathering, processing and treating operations. Able to think and plan strategically and tactically. Able to motivate and direct self with a high degree of initiative and creativity. Able to collaborate with others to accomplish the company's and/or organization's objectives. Able to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results. Able to prioritize work based on current information, concentrate efforts accordingly and respond well to changing priorities. Able to demonstrate strong personal effectiveness skills including integrity and trust, problem solving, decision-making, organizational effectiveness and results orientation. Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment and business acumen. Able to delegate authority and responsibility appropriately. Able to lead by good example, demonstrating sincere commitment to appropriate safety and technical skills. Able to provide a valid state driver's license, to present and maintain a good driving record and to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

Physical Requirements:
Able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Able to see, sit, stand, walk and write for extended periods of time. Able to communicate orally in a clear manner. Able to view a personal computer monitor or laptop screen for extended periods of time. Able to operate a motor vehicle. Able to travel long distances in a motor vehicle.

Working Conditions:
Able to perform work indoors in an office environment and outdoors. Able to work in fast paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines. Able to work a varied schedule and/or overtime (scheduled and/or unscheduled, nights and/or weekends) to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands. Able to travel for inspections and/or investigations in field locations; attend or conduct training; attend regulatory hearings, industry or professional association conferences and/or other meetings (with customers, vendors, contractors, communities, etc.) and stay overnight as required.
