The ideal candidate will build a level II Trauma Center from the ground up by establishing policies and procedures while driving the Florida state application. The position incumbent will also be responsible for promoting the trauma program to staff, physicians and the surrounding community.Primarily responsible for developing and implementing a cost-effective system of care for trauma patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. Works collaboratively with the Medical Director, administrative staff, Hospital leadership team. Also responsible for the overall service line and operation of the function, program assessment, planning, organizing, leading and controlling as well as marketing of the program.

The position incumbent is responsible for meeting legal and regulatory standards and requirements as well as accrediting body compliance.Minimum five years nursing experience. Two years recent leadership/management experience in trauma/emergency care services in a similarly sized healthcare system or acute care hospital facility, preferably in a level I or II Trauma Center. Demonstrated project management skills required. Proficient critical thinking, analytical, and research skills required.A Bachelors degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN or related healthcare) required.

MS preferred. Florida RN licensed (or license eligible). TNCC, CATN or ATCH certification required (or attainment within six months of hire). BLS/ACLS/PALS
