Senior Systems Architect
The Perceptual Computing Group of Intel Corporation is looking to fill the position of an accomplished Senior Systems Architect with a strong background in PC system level integration and rapid prototyping. In this role, the candidate will lead the definition and development of industry-leading computing systems that integrate "senses" into the PC/Tablet/Phone allowing for solutions with novel human-computer interaction capabilities and usages. The candidate will work closely with internal and external collaborators to pull together the necessary hardware, software, systems and technologies, resulting in demonstration and productization of compelling new systems and usages. Candidate will be responsible for system architecture and design, ensuring testability and manufacturability from component feasibility stage through production ramp. He/She will also analyze early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities, and optimizing performance, yield, cost, and quality.
BS + 9 yrs. exp.; MS + 6 yrs. exp.; PhD + 4 yrs. exp. in CS and preferably with 9+ years of industry experience with PC Systems Architectures and input devices is required. Demonstrated expertise in defining and developing innovative system solutions with leading edge technologies is required. Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical design and product development is a strong plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
Besides technical expertise, the ability to work in within Intel in a highly matrixed and collaborative environment is required. The ability to rally cross-group contributors with varying subject matter expertise towards a common goal, and lead complex projects in a dynamic and ambiguous environment are required. The person must have demonstrated strong drive to accomplish high-impact results, setting tough goals for himself/herself and executing to it, energetic and positive spirits taking pride in achievements, and straightforwardness in dealing with others in a direct and productive manner. The candidate must be able to demonstrate consistent innovation and creativity in approach, and have direct experience with generating and protecting IP.
