Responsible for conceptual engineering in which the mechanical design is developed and comprehensive product definition is developed.
Responsibilities
Review plans, concepts, and other engineering data with Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering Manager, and Quality Manager.
Work closely with Marketing/Sales in the execution of engineering projects.
Assist Quality Assurance to establish criteria for conformance standards.
Provide engineering services and product information to Production Control and other manufacturing departments.
Evaluate and develop mechanical design, product drawings, bill of material and specifications required to complete projects expeditiously.
Assure product quality and reliability.
Responsible for keeping costs at a minimum.
Responsible for light structural steel calculations.
Requirements
Education
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalentÂ
Experience
Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in the development of new products or processes.Â
Must possess experience in metal fabrication, set-up, and lay-out.Â
Must be well organized, and fully utilize time management techniques.Â
Must be detail oriented, and be committed to meeting multiple deadlines.
