The College of Human Resources & Education at West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Research. This is a 12-month administrative position; an earned doctorate (terminal degree) in a discipline represented within the College and evidence of scholarly achievement sufficient for an appointment to the rank of Professor with tenure is required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Associate Dean will provide support to the Dean and Leadership Team in the operation and advancement of the College’s goals to enhance and expand faculty and student research and scholarship. Responsibilities will include mentoring, supporting, and developing faculty and student funded research, scholarly productivity, and collaborative efforts. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with proven leadership abilities and have experience in higher education administration; have a history of successful teaching and developing of educational initiatives; experience in grant/contract development; possess a strong background in consensus building and collaborative engagement; and have experience in promoting diversity and social justice initiatives.
