Project Description:
The Sr .NET Developer is responsible for receiving work specifications from the architects team and produce high-quality software components, provide feedback, test, etc. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
o Preparation of detailed specifications from which programs will be written;
o Application of configuration management procedures for changes to the software;
o Performance of associated process studies, research investigations and requirements analyses of all aspects of assigned projects, by applying analytical and modeling techniques, procedures and criteria in specialized area;
o Code applications based on business requirements, mainly using C# programming languages;
o Is well versed in .NET technology;
o Write complicated SQL stored procedures
o Software design, engineering and/or development for government uses;
o Participation in the development and preparation of documentation for, but not limited to, procedural, program and user documentation;
o Occasionally, may provide guidance and assists in training of less experienced staff;
o May research or write portions of technical proposals;
o Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge and compiles information into recommendations and analyses.
Skill Sets & Additional Experience:
Individual must have or be familiar with the following skills and experience:
o 7+ years total professional experience with software development;
o 3+ years recent development with C# .NET
o Develop/maintain complex applications using .NET toolset (C#, VB.NET, ASP.Net);
o Development Platforms/IDEs: Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
o 3+ years recent experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2008/2005) with complicated stored procedures
o Mobile Device experience is a plus
o O/S Experience: Microsoft Windows 200x
o Source Code Version Control: Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Microsoft Team Foundation Server;
o Experience with Microsoft Smart Client Framework desirable
o Knowledge of DotNet Nuke is desirable, but not required for this position
o Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming
o Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal;
o Ability to handle assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
