Part-time, 18 hours a week, grant-funded, professional position that involves working on assessment of prior learning experience programs. This is an MCCC union position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) years experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include college registration, academic advisement, career development, career experience, training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, event planning, administrative work in an academic environment, or personal computer operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Masters degree preferred.
Experience in instructional design, assessment of learning outcomes, e-portfolio (Digication preferred)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to think creatively and independently as well as collaboratively
Familiarity with multiple computing environments
Knowledge of web based authoring tools such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and other creative production software
Willingness to learn other skills used in support of electronic portfolio development and instructional technology.

Responsibilities:
Develop an assessment of prior learning experience program
Work with the Division of Marketing and Communications to promote the assessment of prior learning experience program
In conjunction with the Curriculum Designer, work with students, faculty and staff to provide initial training and ongoing support of the college’s electronic portfolio development initiative
Will participate in the design, development and implementation of training workshops and programs in support of electronic portfolio development and acceptance of credits for life experience
Will create end user support resources such as user guides, self-paced animated tutorials and other mediated instruction to support electronic portfolio development and other instructional technologies
Support students, faculty and staff in the use of electronic portfolio development
Share portfolio development process with career and technical high schools
Work with faculty to develop credentialing exams
Develop protocols for transferring non-credit to credit
Will assist student, faculty and staff in the design and development of instructional materials for electronic portfolios and traditional and online courses
Assist with the implementation of the Pearson VUE testing site
Will work closely with the Director of Center of Teaching and Learning to expand instructional technology at the college.
