Migrating up from the South in the 1800s, Jewish trades people made their way to Louisville, settled there and created a network of religious, social service, health, cultural and educational institutions. The Jewish Community of Louisville (JCL) agency was formed in 2009 from a merger of the Jewish Community Federation of Louisville and the Jewish Community Center of Louisville. The Jewish Community of Louisville, a non-profit organization, is looking for a full-time Senior Graphic Designer and Web Manager to help meet the marketing needs of this dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will be excited about creating compelling visual pieces, which tell the story of our multiple brands. If you are looking for a boring cut and paste job, then this is not for you. The Sr. Graphic Designer will help our Marketing and Communications department visually tell the story of our Federation and the important work our Annual Campaign funds, from a childs first experience with summer camp, to the benefits of a daily fitness routine, the joy of acting on stage and creating ads that sustain our monthly newspaper. As a Web and Content Manager, the individual will help us create and maintain our vast website and harness the power of social media to enhance our mission. We maintain a robust website serving three main functions; to enhance JCC Membership and publicize its programs, to support the Jewish Federation of Louisville and its Annual Campaign and to serve as an online portal for Community, the Jewish newspaper serving Louisville. With social media outlets to have conversations with our members and donors, friends and visitors, the Web and Content Manager will rule the Internet! An ideal candidate will be used to working in a very fast paced, design environment, effectively thinking on their feet and managing more than one project at the same time.

Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks:
Develops and designs a wide variety of print materials to support Campaign, JCC Programming, including CenterStage and Camp, Community advertising sales, endowment and other JCL programs, services and events.
Prepares advertising that needs design work, photos and graphics for Community newspaper.
Serves as web site designer and web master, updating the site regularly.
Implements social media campaigns.
Train others on posting to web site.
Some administrative tasks like maintaining the photo log

Qualifications:
Excellent design skills using Adobe Creative Suite
Web proficiency, with some knowledge of Joomla
Social media skills
1-3 years experience in a professional setting

Preferences: Good writing skills.
