Sarasota Coastal Academy, Inc., (SCA) is presently accepting applications for experienced ESE Teachers at the new Lake Wood Ranch location. Individuals that are interested in a career teaching students of various exceptionalities; students with challenging learning difficulties, and students with communication, physical and/or development disorders, are urged to submit resumes.
Sarasota Coastal Academy, Inc., is a private nonprofit school registered with the State of Florida Department of Education ( DOE school 6551) specializing in the education of students with various learning difficulties which may include Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Attention Deficit Disorder and both Intellectual as well as physical disabilities. The ideal candidates for SCA’s ESE Teacher Positions would have two years or more relevant experience in coaching, motivating and instructing special education students. Experience with various curriculum and required documentation related to ESE including students’ Individual Educational Plan (IEP) is a plus. Candidates for the position of teacher should provide evidence that indicates course work in professional development relating to Special Education and a Florida’s Teachers Certificate or the ability to acquire ESE certification with-in the allotted time period. All considered candidates must pass criminal records checks and fingerprint clearances.
