The Personalized Living Assistant provides residents with assistance and companionship while recognizing resident’s individual needs and encourages independence. This position reports to the Administrator or Coordinator within the Personalized Living Agency.

Key responsibilities include:

*Promoting the mission, values, and beliefs of Personalized Living
*Assisting clients with activities of daily living and personal care
*Performing all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures
*Following work assignments and/or work schedules in completing and performing assigned tasks
*Observing the resident’s general, physical, and mental condition and reporting all accidents and/or incidents to the Agency Manager or designee immediately
*Ensuring that all required reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
*Striving to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
*Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers
*Adhering to policies and procedures of Brookdale Senior Living Inc

We seek the following qualifications:

*High School Diploma or GED
*Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification is required but we are willing to train/certify the right candidate
*Must be able to read, write, and speak English
*Prior experience with companion services preferred
*CNA preferred but not required
*Must be available to work weekends
