Services provided by the Production Revenue Accounting (PRA) Support Team focus on maintaining, supporting and ensuring system integrity for related business processes in the SAP PRA module or its custom extensions. Some of the business processes supported by the team include Ownership processing, Production & Contractual allocation; Check input processing, Revenue distribution, Regulatory, Tax & Royalty Reporting. The team provides level 1 and level 2 support to FSS and CNAEP end users, performs required system processing, maintenance and resolves PRA related issues.
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Business Analyst located in Bellaire, TX through March 15, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Problem investigation and resolution. Interact with customers to understand issues, analyze potential resolutions for design and cross-module impact, test solutions, document resolution, update functional specifications and test scripts.
Work with closely with vendors to test and implement corrections to existing functionality.
Support the Financial Month End Close relative to the PR&RA close processes.
Ensure all production changes adhere to ITSM and management of change controls utilizing Remedy.
Implement regulatory and compliance related projects and enhancements. Work closely with PR&RA (Production, Revenue, and Royalty Accounting) on gathering and documenting requirements. Apply appropriate CPDEP/project management methodology rigor in estimating, planning and implementing system related improvements.
Actively participate in Industry User Group to collaborate on the design and delivery of new core functionality, both for compliance and continuous improvement.
Participate in Business Continuity Planning exercises, Root Cause Analysis investigations, and application of SAP and other vendor support packages and patches.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or other related courses.
Minimum of five years experience in a PRA business or technical analyst support role. Has strong to extensive knowledge of SAP PRA system functionality.
Experience in coordinating/integrating PRA functionality into SAP designs, configuration and technical environment.
Ability to apply demonstrated problem solving skills to develop workable solutions across functions and organizations.
Communicates in clear, concise, understandable manner, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated aptitude and interest in working in a customer focused environment.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks across customers simultaneously.
Experience in utilizing change control and change advisory board processes and procedures.
Encourages cooperation and teamwork across organizations, functions and within teams.
