Investment Banking Finance & Business Management's goals are to ensure a sound control environment and provide financial advice to support the business strategy. Within IB F&BM, the Controllers organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle; performing critical reporting functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial and regulatory, as well as product valuation; and improving ongoing processes, and ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture.
The Controllers organization is responsible for executing and managing Regulatory Liquidity reporting for the Investment Bank. Within the Controller's organization, the IB Project Management Office is looking for a Business Analyst to support the broader IB Global Liquidity program, project & process agendas.
JPMC has mobilized a global Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) program that is a firm-wide, 'mission critical' effort to enhance our liquidity risk management monitoring and reporting capabilities, which will include a redesign of the related supporting technology and infrastructure. The LRI program will implement a world class liquidity risk reporting system complying with recently mandated new Federal and Basel regulations.
The role will support multiple project work streams on the overall liquidity program.
Key Responsibilities include
Assist the IB Global Liquidity PMO lead BA to provide business analysis support across the Liquidity Risk Program including multiple work streams. The work streams include Operating Model, Business Data Sourcing, Reference Data and Reporting
Assist the SME across the following product sets: Secured Financing, Available Collateral, Derivatives, Loans/Facilities/Deposits, and Conduits
Assist in the interpretation and assessment of Liquidity requirements / implications to the business
Coordinate with the lead BA to deliver various ad-hoc analytic requests
Maintain business analysis related documentation
Assist with Liquidity training, communications, and end user support as needed
The candidate must be a self starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment. Additional qualifications:
3-5 years business process or technology project experience
Good analytical, data management and problem solving skills
Good multitasking and prioritizing skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Prior business analyst experience on a large complex project would be an advantage
Basic knowledge of key Finance systems and processes, including MIS and GL, a plus
PMO BAs for the Operating Model and Controls work stream require a strong knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookups) and PowerPoint, the have the ability to construct detail process flows in Visio and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
