Serves as a functional expert regarding the software capabilities and performance of the Imaging PACS equipment including the computed radiology system, picture archives and communications systems, diagnostic and optical storage system. Provides assistance and support to the radiology staff as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
Graduate from an accredited school for Radiology Technology and current ARRT license required. Requires knowledge of computer functionality, including peripheral equipment, software applciations, and network hardware/software capabilities. Requires knowledge of Imaging departments; work flow, operations, design in order to relate the long range plans of the facility, selection of new equipment related to continue PACS/RIS capabilities and future efficiencies. Requires knowledge of imaging modalities and functions as it is related to the display, archive and communications of each area. Requires knowledge of the primary principles of imaging physics in order to evaluate the performance of image transfer.
