We expect our people to be progressive, relentlessly seeking improvement; experiencing opportunities for personal growth by working for a world-class organization and leader in the industry.Major Purpose: A Logistics Coordinator on the Rail Logistics team will assist the Logistics Manager in coordinating the daily movement and activity (such as loading and unloading) of rail cars in Savage's operation at the Delaware City Refinery Operation.Responsibilities / Job Duties: Prepare daily switch activity for switch crews by capturing the needs of our customers and organizing the movement of our people and equipment, capitalizing on efficiency Maintain railcar inventories and track car locations within refinery and SIT yard and ensuring these levels and rail car positions are accurately input into logistic computer systems and databases Handle and resolve local rail issues with local railroad supervision. Professionally interact with railroad operations/customer service teams on local service issues.Oversee Bourgue Logistics systems, monitor all inbound rail movements and divert to offsite storage or other refineries as needed, with an understanding that quality input today, leads to quality output tomorrowCoordinate all inbound and outbound rail movements with individual production units through phone and radio communicationCommunicate with Logistics Manager or Logistics Supervisor on railcar supply needsPrepare Bill of Ladings for all out-bound carsPrepare daily truck report of all coke-truck shipmentsReview and verify accuracy and professionalism of all communication to railroads, customers and suppliers.Coordinate railcar repairs with onsite personnel and outside vendors.Requirements/Qualifications: Advanced knowledge and experience in Computers, including: word processing, spreadsheet, and Microsoft office programs 2 to 3 years of job related experience where the success of the position relied on accurately receiving, inputting, interpreting and utilizing data to make decisions in a fast paced environmentComfortable using Bourque Logistics Programs, or other rail management programs, a plusExperience utilizing data management programs a must, with an ability to key in information efficiently and accuratelyMust demonstrate an ability to manage many incoming demands in a short period of time, and organize and prioritize them in a way that the output business flow is smooth and customer expectation's met Self-starter who can budget time and resources and is able to work with minimal supervisionWritten communication skills. Can create emails that are professional, concise and informativeWorks well with others. Has a desire to cross train and communicate with team members in a similar capacity to accomplish a given taskVerbal communication strength. Whether communicating with employees, managers, customers or other interested parties, communication is professional and represents the company wellDispatching and/or logistics experience a plusThe general condition of the job is a professional office environment. The office is in a refinery so they must feel comfortable working in an industrial setting. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.Education and Experience: Minimum two years experience in fast paced, data management, customer service environmentMust be willing to work any shift in a 24/7 operationOccasional training will be required offsite. Travel could be required and overnight stayMust be able to pass refinery training requirements for access to refineryMust possess, or have the ability to get, a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience
