Our Client, a prestigious investment management firm in San Francisco, is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant who will join a 5-member accounting group responsible for corporate accounting functions. The accounting team works closely with the firm's leadership on corporate cash management, oversight of revenues and expenses, corporate tax strategy, and supporting company decision making. Duties for the position include preparation of monthly investment management fee invoices, communicating with clients on collections matters, and supporting the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. The Senior Corporate Accountant will also support analyses of company revenues and expenditures, as well as preparation of internal management reports. Additional opportunities are available to participate in general ledger accounting, banking operations, financial and tax reporting, and ad hoc departmental projects. The position reports to the Treasurer.

The ideal candidate will be a total team player and yet be able to work independently as well. He/she needs to be a hands-on, flexible professional, who is flexible and will handle whatever duties are needed on a day-to-day basis for the success of the team. This is a fairly small to mid-sized firm, so not a fast-track for promotions and career growth. Employees generally stay there long term, so not a lot of turnover. Prefer someone with maturity who is very smart and professional, but not just concerned with rapid career advancement or using advanced skills (sometimes you will, sometimes you won't). The firm treats its employees well and provides good work-life balance, so great for someone with a family or other activities outside of work. No heavy overtime generally, outside of month-end closing.
