POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervise resources, negotiations and purchasing of all materials and components required to maintain and operate company while keeping with budgetary requirements.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensure materials are sourced and procured in compliance with applicable FAA,
DOT, IATA and company policies and procedures.
2. Develop, manage and monitor costs and service levels to meet established budgets based on completions and maintenance requirements.
3. Supervise spares provisioning process ensuring an optimum availability of needed aircraft components while balancing desired service level with available funding.
4. Supervise parts warranty program to ensure timely repair of parts and components which are removed early due to failure and are still under warranty time restraints.
5. Supervise the marketing and sales of Surplus Inventory, Engines and APU's.
6. Supervise and oversee allocation of parts and materials for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
7. Overall supervisor for purchasing
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
2. 8+ years prior experience in Purchasing to include 2+ in the role of Procurement Specialist or Senior Buyer (industry experience may be substituted for degree)
3. Strong knowledge of materials, shipping, receiving or warehousing, plus the demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to work in an automated inventory system.
2. Able to develop and motivate a team of Buyers.
3. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Understands and complies with DOT, customs and/or FAA regulations related to material shipping, receiving and inspecting.
5. Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by Comlux.
