Reporting to the Manager, IT Security we are currently recruiting for an IT Security Analyst within our Loveland office.

Support of the Corporate Antivirus system consisting of deployment, troubleshooting and management.

Support of the Corporate Web Proxy system. Day-to-day troubleshooting.

To maintain strong understanding of current IT Security risks and vulnerabilities. Keep abreast of new behaviors by hackers to ensure we are not vulnerable to attack. Keep in tuned with respect to new techniques and approaches within security.

Prepare drafts of changes for existing IT security procedures and policies or for new policies and procedures as a result of new attacks by hackers.

Keep up-to-date with the different tools employed by security to detect and prevent intrusion – this will include intrusion detection systems, anti-virus systems, denial of service attacks, white listing and black listing of sites, proxy, and penetration testing.

Monitor and maintain the hardware within the Security Infrastructure. This will include firewalls, proxies, network scanners, and detection tools.

Implement new solutions as identified by the Analyst IV, IT Security to protect Agrium’s IT Environment.

Security investigations and forensic investigation of computers upon "incidents".

Core Competencies:
A thorough knowledge of networking, security awareness, awareness of malicious activities on the internet.

Dealing with highly confidential, sensitive information.

Initiative to escalate risks when appropriate.

Excellent communication skills and Technical writing skills.

Attention to detail and strong ability to determine root cause.

A customer focused attitude that enables the business to operate effectively in a secure manner.

Educate other IT Staff members of operational issues within security.

Post-secondary Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Technical Diploma.

One to two years of working experiene in an IT environment is preferred .

Achieve the SANS GSEC certification within the first year of employment.
