Provide DBA services for multiple projects
Define, design and program data processing streams and implement database architectures
Responsible for operations of data factory and data warehouse systems
Assure efficient data flow, beginning with numerous raw data sources and ending with a highly tuned data warehouse providing web based report delivery
Design, implement and maintain complex functions of database systems including stored procedures, transformation services, triggers and OLAP services
Responsible for creating and maintaining all relevant documentation
Primary contact for the development of logical and physical database designs
Assists in all database functions including access, allocations, validity checks, security
Conducts backup, recovery of databases
Conducts server tuning, database tuning and sql query tuning
Performs exports/imports and schema copies
Implement DDL change requests
Performs Database software installation and database creation
Helps to investiage/prototype new technologies such as hardware/software replication
Required Skills
BS or BA in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years IT development background
Minimum of 3 years experience with design, implementation and administration of large ORACLE & SQL Server database systems
Knowledge of PL/SQL, TSQL, and Object-Oriented development
Multi-Platform experience on UNIX & Windows
Good design, development, administration skills are key, OLAP skills a plus
Knowledge of the extract, transform, load, star schema and end user access tools
Very strong Database tuning skills is a must. Ability to read, understand and act on advices from AWR Reports is essential.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
