We are currently seeking Auxiliary Police Officers for our Canton, OH facility.
Job Responsibilities include:
§ Understands the requirements related to security and regulatory compliance and maps those requirements to security projects.
§ Assists Director of Security in developing, implementing, and managing the corporate process for security strategy and associated policies, procedures and guidelines.
§ Executes improvements to physical security in accordance to the strategies and initiatives mandated by senior management and the Director of Security.
§ Monitors Republic facilities, plants, and railroads to protect company property or shipments and to maintain order. Evaluates suspected security breaches and recommends corrective actions.
§ Serves as the enterprise focal point for security incident response planning and execution.
§ Examines credentials of contractor’s , visitor’s and / or unauthorized persons attempting to enter secured areas.
§ Defines and implements programs to define, identify, and classify critical assets, threats and vulnerabilities regarding those assets. Implements safeguard recommendations.
§ Oversees the development of and champions a corporate security awareness and training program. Directs or coordinates the daily activities or training of security staff.
§ Evaluates changes to the corporate environment for security impact and presents findings to management.
§ Apprehends or removes trespassers or thieves from Republic property or coordinates with law enforcement agencies in apprehensions and removals.
§ Prepares reports documenting investigation activities and results.
§ Investigates or directs investigations of freight theft, suspicious damage, or other crimes on Republic property.
§ Insures compliance with State and Federal security requirements and crime reporting.
§ Performs work with consideration for established labor agreements and applicable regulatory requirements.
§ Directs security activities at derailments, fires, floods, or strikes involving Republic property.
§ Plans and implements special safety and preventive programs, such as fire or accident prevention.
§ Associate's Degree or at least two years of college working toward a degree program in criminal justice or in related field of study preferred.
§ OPOTC Certified.
§ D emonstrated industry kDowledge: of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
