Assistant Branch/Customer Service Manager
Job Summary:
Responsible for operational considerations necessary to run an efficient branch office such as proper staff assignments, compliance, training staff on new bank policies and procedures, and more complex customer transactions. Acts as product/services referral source for other bank departments including loans, trust, insurance, and investments. Supports internal & external business development efforts as needed to ensure growth of the branch, including participating in prospect and customer calling efforts. Serves as primary contact for daily needs of business clients. Supervises, coaches, and supports all non-exempt branch team members.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility for daily branch operations and staff supervision. Oversees coordination of personnel regarding staffing requirements, distribution, and
scheduling of work. Provides consistent coaching, training and supervision of branch staff. Completes interim and annual performance evaluations for all team members. Maintains a positive work environment and resolves employee grievances. May be asked to perform duties at multiple locations.
Attends meetings as determined by management and disseminates information to branch staff.
Serves as the primary daily contact for business clients assigned to the Branch. Advises customers on more complex financial transactions. Acts as the secondary new accounts counselor. Regularly refers clients to other business units of FSB including commercial, investments, insurance, & trust. Participates in internal & external relationship management and business development activities as needed in conjunction with the Market Manager. Maintains active involvement with a local community civic club, non-profit organization or municipality.
Conducts interviews of prospective loan customers to identify best options, makes appropriate recommendations, and completes documentation in compliance with banking requirements.
Performs other related duties as required that may be necessary to enhance the bank’s competitive position.
Job Specifications:
College degree, preferably in business related field and four to five years comprehensive banking experience
Ability to multi-task
One to Three years Supervisory experience, with experience in coaching and personal development of team members
Excellent organization, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software (2003 or higher)
One to Three years experience with Residential Lending (preferred – not required)
Good understanding of all regulatory compliance rules
Ability to handle multiple locations
Willingness to work flexible hours
Ability to stand 50% of workday
Ability to occasionally lift a maximum of 40 lbs
